Golf

I have tried this year to really improve my golf game. Last year for the first time I shot under 100, a 99 at Hodge Park Golf Course. Since May 9th when I played at Lions Gate Golf Course. I have played 5 times and been to the driving range at least a dozen times. Yet with all of this I still struggle to hit the ball cleanly most of the time.

The last time I played I couldn't get the ball on the green, couldn't chip to save my life. I decided that I needed a new sand wedge to help with this problem. I have returned from the driving range and guess what?
I still can't hit that short chip! Maybe it's not the equipment, MAYBE IT IS ME!!
NO it can't be me, maybe it's the,,,,,the BALL. That's it, the range balls are effecting my game in a negative way! I will have to stop going to the driving range and just learn on the course.

I'll let you know how that works out!

Lima Needs to GO!!

Once again Lima Time failed to pitch past the 6th inning. He has had 17 starts and has only 1 win. He has pitched 86 innings and given up 80 runs! I hope that tonight was his last start in Kansas City this year. I would almost take Brain Anderson right now then have Lima start another game.

May Day in New York

I was checking on the events of the day in the sports world when this caught my eye, "Padres aquire Quantrill from Yankees". When I clicked to get more details I discovered that the Padres had traded Darrell May and Tim Redding to the Yankees for Paul Quantrill. The interesting thing about the two pitchers is that May, aquired from the Royals over the winter for Terrance Long, was so bad in spring training that the Padres traded for Redding. Both of them tried to get the 5th spot in the Padres rotation. What is sad is that these two pitchers were bad enough that the Padres traded both of them for a pitcher that the Yankees had demoted! I'm not sure there is a winner in this trade.
